Home Nursing Care Service (HNCS)
General presentation
The Home Nursing Care Service (HNCS) provides nursing and hygiene care at home for elderly people or individuals with disabilities, delivered by qualified healthcare professionals.
It is intended for people who wish to remain in their own homes while benefiting from support tailored to their health condition and level of independence.
The hncs’s aim is to prevent loss of autonomy, support staying at home, and improve the quality of life of its beneficiaries.
Our missions
The SSIAD intervenes to:
Provide hygiene and comfort care
(washing, mobility support, dressing, prevention of pressure sores, etc.)Deliver or coordinate prescribed nursing care
Support home care in order to avoid hospitalization or facilitate discharge and return home
Contribute to prevention and health education
Support loss of autonomy with kindness and respect for the person
Coordinate interventions with physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and caregivers
The service operates through a comprehensive approach combining care, prevention, support and coordination.
Beneficiaries
The HNCS is intended for:
People aged 60 and over who are ill or experiencing loss of independence
Adults with disabilities
Individuals requiring temporary support after hospitalization
(follow-up care, reduced mobility, temporary frailty)
Admission is made on medical prescription, following an assessment of needs at home.
A professional and committed team
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team including:
Coordinating nurses
Nursing assistants
Possible involvement of partner professionals: independent nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc.
The team operates 7 days a week according to beneficiaries’ needs, respecting their lifestyle and privacy.

Admission process and operation
Admission is carried out in several stages:
Medical prescription (from a general practitioner or hospital physician)
Home assessment visit by the coordinating nurse
Development of an individualized care plan
Implementation of home interventions
The service is funded by the French Health Insurance system (Assurance Maladie): no advance payment is required from beneficiaries.
